Got CRV beverage containers? Don’t toss them. Cash them in!
Recycling is in your hands.
Recycling your beverage containers isn’t just good for the planet; it also puts money back in your pocket. California’s Beverage Container Recycling Program makes it easy to return eligible containers and get paid for what you recycle.
CRV applies to most aluminum, glass, plastic, and bi-metal beverage containers, including water, soda, juice, and coffee drinks. The CRV program recently expanded to include wine or liquor in a box, bag, or pouch. If it has that CRV label, it can be redeemed.

Find a nearby location: Use CalRecycle’s online locator to find certified recycling sites near you.
Prep your containers: Make sure they’re empty, dry, and not crushed.
Get paid by count: For up to 50 containers (25 for wine or liquor in a box, bag, or pouch), you can request to be paid by count instead of by weight.
Know your rights: If something doesn’t seem right, you can file a complaint. Your feedback helps keep the program fair for everyone.
