Curb Your Food Scraps
Put food you can’t eat to good use. Separate your food scraps and place them in your green bin. This simple step reduces waste, cuts down on landfill climate pollution that causes droughts and wildfires, and nourishes crops grown by California farmers.
Cash for CRV
Turn in your CRV beverage containers at recycling sites and get your money back. It’s easy, and it adds up. About 1,300 California recycling sites and many retailers redeem CRV beverage containers such as wine and liquor containers, soda cans, and juice bottles.

Kitchen: Cooking with Consciousness
Small steps in the kitchen create a big impact. Keep a compost container for food scraps, collect CRV containers for cash, cook with the whole ingredient, and extend the life of food through storage.

Fight climate change in your own yard. Use your green bin for all food scraps and yard trimmings, set up CRV bins at gatherings, try backyard composting, and grow what you eat.
